AGARTALA, July 12 (TIWN): The BJP miscreants vandalized the vehicles of Congress leaders in Bishramganj Bazar in front of Police in broad daylight which erupted extreme tension in the area among local people.

Reportedly, Congress leader Ashish Kumar Saha, Ashok Debbarma, minority leader Joydul Hossain, Bishalgarh district Congress president Nishikant Debbarma Congress in-charge Szarita Laipthlang and Congress leader Dulal Ghosh were in Bishramganj market centering a indoor meeting at SBI bank’s building. But suddenly the BJP miscreants held attack on their vehicle in front of Police and centering this in a short time panic generated in the area.

After the incident Congress leaders informed the matter to the DGP of the police and gave details about the incident. Later, the police rushed to the spot and provided security to them. The Congress in-charge Szarita Laipthlang said that they were threatened.

Ashish Kumar Saha said that the incident took place at Bishramganj police station even then, the police did not take any action against the perpetrators.
