AGARTALA, July 12 (TIWN): When police have the will, they can do anything which is needed in crime control. Such an example was set by Sonamura Police by successfully arresting an accused within 30 minutes of the incident.

Reportedly TR07 1220 bus owner and diver were going to Sonamura from Melaghar in their car. Meanwhile, after crossing the Melaghar Motor Stand, on the Melaghar to Sonamura road, Md. Shah Alam Mia alias Kala Manik and two others were found standing in the middle of the road. Then the owner of the bus and the driver Mithun Debnath told them to give the side of the car. Both parties got into a heated argument and the opposite party attacked them brutally.

Mithun Debnath and Mohammad Mohsin Mia, the drivers of the three miscreants, were injured and fled from the spot. The two injured people were brought to Melaghar Hospital by the locals from the spot. As Mithun Debnath's condition deteriorated there, the doctor on duty referred him to Agartala GB Hospital. And Mohammad Mahasen Mia is currently undergoing treatment at Melaghar Hospital.

But based on this incident, the relatives of the injured tried to create chaos on the hospital premises. At that very moment, Sonamura police officer Manoj Biplob Das calmed them down and assured them that he would arrest the accused within half an hour. Accordingly, Sonamura police officer Manoj Biplob Das arrested Md. Shah Alam Mia alias Kala Manik from a forest along the Gomati river behind his house through a mobile tracking.

Manoj Biplob Das, the police officer, immediately arrested him and brought him to Sonamura police station.
