BELONIA (South Tripura), July 11 (TIWN): Heavy Teachers’ crisis have been affecting the education system amid over 3,500 TET qualified teachers are unemployed. On Monday, in Belonia subdivision, students of Matai HS School held a massive protest demanding immediate teachers’ recruitment in their school. The numbers of students in the school is over 200 but teachers are only 2. Reportedly from Class-1 to Class-12 all classes are facing tremendous crisis of teachers due to shortage in the numbers of teachers. Due to the protest, massive crowd had gathered in the areas. The agitating students also locked the school gate in protest against their crucial problem.
Although teachers tried to console the students for taking the matter to the higher authority but the students said, unless their problems are solved, they will not move from the protest spot.
Students said, they demand an immediate solution to the teachers’ crisis problem.
Not only in Belonia but statewide heavy protests are underway against the teachers’ crisis but the protests failed to wake up the BJP led Tripura Govt.
