AGARTALA, July 8 (TIWN): Demanding immediate College Council Elections in Tripura Degree Colleges with a peaceful environment, NSUI on Friday has announced to move High Court.
Addressing media at Agartala Congress Bhawan, NSUI President Samrat Roy said, “Nowhere in this country College elections are stopped like in Tripura. In the last 4.5 years, no college election was held in any Degree College and the student councils are occupied by outsiders, resulting law and order problems in all colleges. Recently in Kailashahar how two students were beaten up by BJP’s student wing ABVP in front of police the entire state has seen that”.
“Shame on Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha for his silent role over such situations in Education sectors in the state. School students are in protest demanding sufficient numbers of teachers but our CM has no reaction. To bring back the peaceful environment in Tripura colleges, NSUI will file a petition in High Court against the unlawful bar on College council election”, said Samrat Roy.
