AGARTALA, July 6 (TIWN): On Wednesday, the Teliamura sub-divisional administration launched an anti-plastic campaign in Teliamura market. A large quantity of illegal plastic packets and other items were seized. DCM Amit Roy Chowdhury, Sub-Divisional Food Officer Shubhankar Chowdhury and other administrative officials led the anti-plastic campaign of the sub-divisional administration.
The raid team raided several shops in Teliamura market and recovered a large quantity of plastic bags, Plastic glasses and many other items seized. Moreover, expired food items were also recovered from a shop on this day.
At the same time, the general public including market traders were aware of the evils of using plastics.
Officials said that such an anti-plastic campaign will continue in the coming days on the initiative of the sub-divisional administration.
