KILASHAHAR, July 6 (TIWN): Students of Kailashahar Tila Bazar H.S. School protested against Teachers’ Crisis issue by setting fire to tires. According to students, their school was converted into CBSE after which they have to pay annual fees of Rs. 1,040 but after paying the amount also, they are deprived of Education due to teachers’ crisis. Fire Brigade team rushed to the spot after they learned that the students have occupied the road and burnt tires. Huge numbers of Police, CRPF personnel were also deployed on the spot. The agitating students said, unless they get assurance from the authority about mitigation of teachers’ crisis issue, they will not withdraw protest.
Not only in Kailshahar but statewide teachers’ crisis have hit the Education syste,. On Tuesday, students of Samarendra Ganj Higher Secondary school blocked road in protest against massive teachers’ crisis. As per record, the school has 200 students but the numbers of teachers are only 8.
Amid 3631 TET qualified youths are sitting unemployed, students continue to protest against teachers crisis in Tripura as they department is least bothered to recruit teachers.
