AGARTALA, July 3 (TIWN): 2018’s JUMLA promises left the voters of Tripura resented on the BJP Govt amid vote-rigging, attacks, massive taxation and no developmental works, slashing social pensions, MGNREGA. Such an outcome of public resentment was seen in Majlishpur constituency where Minister Sushanta Chowdhury was not allowed to enter even after scheduling a program there.
One of the villagers said, “We will not allow him to enter here again. For last 5 years, he was not seen since he won election. Soon after winning the poll, he disappeared and was not seen in this area. No road was developed, nobody received homes and our conditions left as it is. Now as the election is approaching, he is trying to re-enter the area. We will not tolerate it. We did not allow Sushanta Chowdhury to organize program yesterday and also will not allow in future”.
“BJP’s no program will not be allowed in our area. There is another MLA just after the Mandai pool but nothing happened in last few years. The BJP and IPFT Govt has literally fooled people”, said a voter.
