Teacher crisis hits in Tripura Govt Schools

AGARTALA, June 30 (TIWN): On one side Tripura Govt schools reel under teacher crisis and amid it the State Govt is not recruiting the teachers as per need despite many TET qualified teachers sitting Jobless. Students of Mani Kanchanpara SB School in Ballamukha area under Bilonia Bharat Chandra Nagar block have blocked the road at Ballamukha drop gate area on Thursday morning over Teacher transfer and teacher crisis.

The Mani Kanchanpara SB School runs with only 5 teachers where the classes is up to Class-VIII from Class-I, among 5 teachers one teacher is in deputation, one teacher is transferred and presently the School runs with only 3 teachers. Over teacher crisis and teacher transfer the School student blockade road as they are facing difficulties due to shortages of teachers in the School.The student organised the protest holding placards in their hand at Ballamukha drop gate area

In the protest spot the student alleged that the different classes run together due to lack of teachers in the school.

Due to this blockade, the traffic in Rajnagar via Belonia was stopped. Some activists of the ruling BJP could not accept this movement of the students and at one point the students were threatened by some of the ruling party leaders in the area for participating in the protest against the transfer of teachers. The threat eventually forced the students to lift the blockade without any discussion. And centering this huge angst has generated among the students and parents.
