AGARTALA, June 30 (TIWN): Two teams of CPI-M legislators met Governor Satyadev Narayan Arya and DGP V.S.Yadav alleging Jungle-Raj exists in the state Tripura under BJP Govt citing various ongoing attacks on opposition party members’ houses. The MLAs have requested the DGP and Governor to take stern action to control the law and order. Addressing media, former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar said, “Such attacks are nothing new in Tripura under BJP. Previously also, we met the former Governor, who had assured us to end violence within 24 hours. Today also, we told the Governor same. As the Governor is ill and bed-ridden, we have met the incharge over there. The Governor saw the matter and via his official told us that he would look into the matter”.
“We have requested the Governor to control the law and order. He is sick but his office is functioning. Our team then met the DGP also and complained the same. We will wait, what actions will be taken place to control the hooliganism going on in this state”, stated Manik Sarkar.
Today CPI-M party members including Party State Secretary Jitendra Chowdhury, MLA Ratan Bhowmik, MLA Sudhan Das met the victims in Ram Nagar, Indra Nagar, and Shyami Bazar.
The leaders visited Ramnagar 8 located Hiralal Das’s home, Gour Kumar Bhattacharjee, Shyami Bazar’s Kiran Lodh, Santanu Debnath, and also met Indra Nagar’s Dipankar Sukla Baidya, Haradhan Debnath, Khela Sarkar.
The CPI-M leaders condemned the barbaric activities conducted by the BJP goons and expressed surprise at how BJP is celebrating poll victory after winning via false voting and rigging.
