AGARTALA, June 25 (TIWN): Political double standards of BJP was glimpsed on Saturday when BJP in a press conference dumped all violence related responsibility on the Election Commission, amid the state is undergoing severe post poll violence mostly organized by the ruling BJP party. BJP leaders were asked about why police and Govt failed to curb the violence and in reply one BJP spokesperson stated that BJP has requested Election Commission to take control of the situation as the law and order is now under the Election Commission. On the contrary, Trinamool Congress Govt which was blamed with 90% fake news circulated by BJP on post poll violence was blamed by National and Tripura BJP also for post poll violence.

Trinamool Govt also raised question on Calcutta High Court’s order, why Bengal Govt should compensate post poll violence’s claimed victims when the law and order was in Election Commission’s hand. However, BJP’s propaganda machinery was successful the supress the Bengal Govt’s statement though today BJP ultimately accepted that “During Polling session, Law and Order remains upon the Election Commission”.

The statement came from BJP spokesperson, Subrata Chakraborty, an accused of a girl student molestation case, which due to political power has not yet been investigated.
