AGARTALA, June 23 (TIWN): Massive Rigging took place in Tripura By-Poll on Thursday due to Police DGP’s failure to order strict action against hooligans, although due to Election Commission’s strict observance booths could not be occupied and some fake voters had cast their votes too.
Opposition parties’ voters were not allowed to cast votes by BJP miscreants. Uncountable BJP miscreants were brought from Bishalgarh, Sonamura, Mohanpur and many other sub-divisions to prevent voters from casting votes. Amid Section-144 being imposed BJP supporters gathered in various areas and prevented voters from casting votes.
In this By-Poll a Police official was knife attacked and many voters were injured by BJP miscreants. Fake voters were caught from various booths red-handed. A Photo journalist was attacked while covering ‘Poll-Rigging’.
However, Police Super Jagadeeswar Reddy claimed that ‘Situation was brought under control’.
