AGARTALA, June 14 (TIWN): 2 people died on spot after a powerful lightning strike in Gatiram area of Amarpur Malabasa. Along with them, 2 were injured.

Eyewitnesses immediately brought the 4 to Amarpur Hospital but the Doctors on duty pronounced 2 among 4 dead.

The deceased were identified as Mithirum Riang (20), and Chashuram Riang (28).

It is known the two critically injured persons were referred to Gomoti District hospital after giving primary treatment at Amarpur Hospital.
