AGARTALA, June 12 (TIWN): Ahead of the by-poll Tripura BJP like other political parties busy in door to door campaigning, but the public mandate will be tough to be taken in BJP’s support as BJP under Biplab Deb’s four years regime totally failed to project itself as a pro-people including house to house violent attacks, poll rigging, booth capturing which were never a part of Tripura’s election before 2018. BJP although claims foreseeing its ‘major win’ in the upcoming by-polls, but the public spirit has been totally to cast vote against BJP.
Apart from violence and fake Vision Document, attacks on public, opposition leaders and media, BJP Govt’s various anti-people decisions of slashing social pensions of poor, cancellation of ongoing Govt job recruitments, removal of free medical services from Govt hospitals are also majorly responsible for BJP’s downfall in popularity.
Tripura by-poll is on June 23rd and result will be published on June 26.
Although in Assembly Left Front is holding the major opposition position but Congress is emerging in new form to give a tight battle to BJP as it has challenged BJP’s booth-rigging and violence with ‘equal reactions’.
