AGARTALA, June 9 (TIWN): Biswajit Das, BJP Mandal secretary of Usha Bazar area broke down into tears after he did not get proper service at GB Hospital for his sister's treatment. Reportedly, Biswajit’s sister Moushumi Roy Choudhury (40) was brought to GB hospital for treatment after abdominal pain on Wednesday night, and the hospital employees admitted the patient. But instead of giving proper medical treatment the medical staff allegedly played with the patient’s life. Firstly the on-duty staff told the patient party that no Doctors are available secondly, the patient Moushumi Roy Choudhury shifted to Medicine Ward instead of Surgical Ward. Later, seeing her critical condition shifted her to ICU but after taking to ICU she lost her last breath within 10 minutes, said Biswajit (demise’s brother).

Confronting media, Mandal secretary Biswajit Das alleged that no medical services are available in GB Hospital, he also alleged that all necessary medical equipment have to purchase from outside as nothing has been given from the Hospital. The system in GB hospital has worsened, allegedly. Now, the activist of the ruling BJP party is claiming before the media about the pathetic services of GB Hospital.

However, it is noteworthy that Dr Dilip Das, MLA of the area came to GB Hospital after hearing about this incident but when media asked about the incident MLA Das showed uninterested to answer Journalist’s question.

Despite pathetic shape of GB Hospital services, the Ministers are repeatedly boasting that GB is not in the same condition like before as the Medical services and system have changed.

Now the question is if GB Hospital became developed under the former CM cum Health Ministry Biplab Deb as per his claims then why common people are raising various complaints regularly against Tripura’s biggest GB Hospital of improper services and various shortages in the Hospital? Question also raises when the pathetic shape of GB Hospital services will be ended so that the common public can get proper treatment?
