AGARTALA, May 29 (TIWN): After few splashes of rain on Sunday Smart City Agartala submerged underwater and turned into a Water City which caused massive difficulties for pedestrians to cross roads.

Though water-logging in Agartala City is nothing new, former CM Biplab Deb had assured the state people in 2018 that No Water-logging will be seen from next year, and in Sept 2020 Deb claimed that 90% water logging problem has ended in Tripura but his claims turned out false because every year after few splashes of rain the roads submerged under Water.

The water logging heavily disrupted the common people to cross roads through this dirty water and many vehicles were stuck in this water.

The improper sewage system and poor maintenance is also a major reason behind water logging in the Agartala city after few splashes of rain.
