Through waterlogging is not a new problem in the city but the existing BJP-led State Govt claimed for investing a thousand crores in the SMART City project and working on diminishing the waterlogging problems.

The recently sacked Chief Minister Biplab deb assured the people that there will be no water logging from 2019 but after each rain, the flood-like situations continue to disturb the normal lives there.
