AGARTALA, January 6 (TIWN): The four day long 2nd All India Inter Sanskrit University Youth Festival organized by Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan (Deemed University), under Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India, New Delhi was inaugurated by Tapan Chakraborty, Higher Education Minister at Ekalavya Campus, Agartala (West Tripura), here today. The youth festival will continue till January 9.
Addressing on the occasion Minister Tapan Chakraborty said that the Ekalavya Campus strives to translate into reality the vision and mission of Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan.
Goals and objectives of the campus are to preserve Sanskrit Language and its multitudinous disciples of Shastriya Tradition to maintain and elevated standard of Guru-Shishya Parampara. The Campus has started for imparting education in various programmes via Prak Shastri, Shastri & Acharya with Vyakaran, Shahitya, Vedanta, Dharmashastra, Boudha Darshan and Jyotisha subjects to the students.
The people of the state are very polite and strongly believe in religion related ceremonies and cultural matters. As such, Campus accelerates it efforts to connect the maximum number of local communities to the fields of Sanskrit.
Definitely the students of the Campus will do commendable job in brining the communities nearer to the Campus in coming days, the minister added.
Sahid Choudhury, Minister of Sports & Youth Affairs, Prof. Anjan Kumar Ghosh, the Vice-chancellor of Tripura University, Sukhbir Sandhu, Vice-chancellor of Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, New Delhi and other dignitaries were present.
