AGARTALA, May 28 (TIWN): Tripura former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar while addressing CITU’s rally in Agartala on Saturday asked the BJP High Command to clarify the reason behind Biplab Deb’s removal. Sarkar was talking about four years of BJP rule in Tripura when he said so. “PM Modi and Amit Shah came to Tripura many times since 2018 poll results and BJP was voted to power. Not only this, they praised Biplab Deb as the best Chief Minister of Tripura, but why only in a gap of 2 months the so-called best CM was removed from CM post. The reason is nothing but a total failed Govt under him (Biplab Deb) fuelled massive anti-incumbency against the Govt”.
“Decisions were anti-people and no successful project could be taken up, no success receive in any sector. Democracy had been butchered. Communists have been the biggest targets but now nobody is being spared”, said Manik Sarkar adding how the Congress headquarters was attacked which is located in front of West Agartala PS.
Biplab Deb was removed from post on 13th May after Amit Shah had called him to Delhi. By 14th May, Biplab Deb had resigned from post.
