AGARTALA, May 27 (TIWN): Tripura Trinamool party leader, ex-BJP MLA Asish Das who quitted BJP to join Trinamool has quitted Trinamool Congress alleging Trinamool has no future in Tripura and the party is working just as a B-Team for the BJP.
“TMC has no future in Tripura and the TMC leaders do not consider people of Tripura as humans at all. I was insulted, my self-respect was hurt”, said Asish Das.
“Who are these Trinamool leaders? What is their aim? They have no business in Tripura except to weaken the opposition parties. 80% of people who were in Trinamool have quit. I was misled and so now I resign”, said Asish Das.
Asish Das was an MLA of the BJP party, and had become a critic of the then CM Biplab Deb. Later when he joined Trinamool, he was terminated from MLA post.
