AGARTALA, May 27 (TIWN): The current BJP-IPFT government in Tripura is spreading propaganda that the power Department in the state is being developed. On the other hand, the government is gradually increasing the suffering of the customers by handing over the state power Department to the private companies and on the other hand, there is no development of the services.
Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited running by the BJP-IPFT govt currently and the Govt has recently decided to withdraw vehicle services from all the section offices of the corporation. In a word, from next June the electricity staff of any electricity Department’s office in Tripura will no longer get the car services provided by the government. Which means from this June if any disturbance in the power line erupted then the employees of the corporation will have to walk mile after mile to repair the line by walking with the stairs on their shoulders.
Clearly, this decision is going to further disrupt Tripura's electricity service. Tripura’s almost every department including common life is in turmoil under ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’ tide.
This is mentioned in a memorandum signed by the technical director of the corporation recently. Along with the entire state the corporation is also picking up vehicles from Fatikray and Machmara Electricity offices from Kumarghat from next June.
According to the employees of the corporation, from now on, the employees of these two offices will have to suffer more while providing customer service. The power workers of the concerned office may have to face the annoyance of the customers as without vehicles the staff would not be able to reach the destination in proper time to provide services.
