AGARTALA, May 26 (TIWN): Tripura State Election Commission has announced poll related important dates as the Election Commission had announced Tripura by-poll dates. Addressing media, IAS Kiren Gitte said, “Nomination submission for the upcoming by-poll is on May 30 and the last date for nomination submission will be on 6th June. Final candidate list will be published on June 9th and the poll date is on 23rd June. Vote counting will be on 26th June. “Model code of conduct has already been imposed since the Election Commission had announced polling date. In North Dist, Dhalai, Agartala the model code of conduct is being implemented but in Agartala only in the Agartala constituency and Bordowali the model code of conduct will be implemented and not in the entire West Tripura, it will be implemented”, said Kiren Gittee.
“Voters list will be as per the announced list of January 1st, 2022. Total 27 Lakhs, 35 Thousand 546 voters are eligible for vote across Tripura but in these four by-polls, Agartala 6 constituency will be having highest numbers of voters that is 51,639”, he said.
Meeting with the political parties will be held tomorrow.
