The auto driver further alleged that Mintu hit him with a sharp weapon and fled with a gold chain and money from him. Meanwhile, after the incident, eyewitnesses rescued the injured auto driver Dipankar Banik and brought him to Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital. 

Later, the victim has lodged a written complaint at Bishalgarh police station. Allegedly, Mintu has been looting money from the common man in the name of the ruling party. Although the accused Mintu's wife is the village head, it is alleged that Mintu is carrying out many criminal activities day after day in the name of the village head. But the surprising thing is that the police are not taking any action against the accused despite several complaints reported against him, said the locals.
