AGARTALA, May 22 (TIWN): Bishalgarh police succeeded in an anti-cannabis operation. Two drums of cannabis were recovered underground during a search in Aynal Hossain, an infamous forest robber in Rangapania area under Bishalgarh PS.
Bishalgarh Police Station OC Himadri Sarkar said police had a tip-off that a large quantity of cannabis was kept in Aynal Hossain's house. On the basis of this secret information, the police raided the house of Aynal Hossain on Sunday.
About 35 kg of dried cannabis was recovered in two filled drums. A bolero register number- TR07B1798 used for transporting cannabis was seized along with it from his house
Police have registered a case against Aynal Hossain under the NDPS section and started investigation. Reportedly, the infamous Aynal Hossain has fled away from the scene.
