AGARTALA, May 20 (TIWN): Chief Minister Manik Saha’s visit to Tripura Medical College (TMC) hospital to meet former CPI-M Minister Badal Chowdhury has been appreciated by people. Netizens have praised the gesture as in last four years under Biplab Deb Govt, opposition turned enemies and it was Badal Chowdhury who was lifted from ILS Hospital to West Agartala PS as a part of a vendetta case’s investigation. Not only today’s visit, but Manik Saha’s yesterday speech against hooligans in party and poll rigging was also appreciated.

The change in Tripura politics came after BJP High Command had ordered replacement of Tripura CM and removing Biplab Deb, Manik Saha was put in power.

There was allegedly heavy corruption allegation against Biplab Deb along with many more serious allegations. 

In 2019, 31st October Badal Chowdhury was forced to vacate ILS hospital and to enter Police lockup.
