AGARTALA, April 18 (TIWN): Confederation of Free Trade Union (CFTUI) on Monday held a press meeting at Agartala press club and raised issues related to the deprivation of employees under various Govt sectors. The CFTUI members in a statement said, “Teachers are heavily deprived since the Communist regime and keeping the TET qualified teachers at fixed scale is a criminal offence. No 7th Pay Commission was given since the Left regime and during the 6th pay commission’s implementation, Tripura teachers were highest deprived that those arrears should be given off after talking to the Centre. We demand Central Pay Scale for all teachers”.

“Pensioners are not getting medical properly. When Rs. 5000 to Rs. 6000 is the minimum cost for medical treatment, the employees should get at least Rs. 2000”.

“We have visited various places in India and it was unearthed that the workers are highest deprived in Tripura. From Anganwadi workers to helpers, no 7th Pay Commission, no DA was given. Around 31% DA is yet pending for the employees. 10323 teachers who worked for more than 10 years are now terminated. There should be an alternative arrangement. Nowhere in the country, such an incident happened earlier”, said the committee.
