Agartala, January 5 (TIWN): Suryamaninagar Block Congress on Monday had submitted deputation to the headmistress demanding immediate arrest of the persons involved in destroying the sculpture of the National leader Netaji and doing antisocial activities. A delegation leads by the Youth Congress president Sushanta Chowdhury; National Student Union of India (NSUI) state president Bapi Das along with Block President Sunil Das had attended the deputation.
The Youth Congress vice president Sushanta Chakrabortyy alleged that the state’s ruling Left Front government had continued misusing their power and powered their influenciality among the local people. NSUI State President, Mr. Das told that numbers of criminals are operating from rented accommodations / premises at new places, taking advantage of their anonymity in the area. But the Government aided police had failed to take any preventive steps.
It is to be mentioned here that on the eve of New Year some local guys of the influential CPIM leaders had arrange picnic in the premises of Subhas Nagar Uccha Buniyadi Vidyalaya. But during the picnic , after getting fully drunked, they had broken the flower tops, portrait and the spectacle of the Netaji. Next day after the opening of the school, one of the respective teacher noticed that these damages are conducted. Without wasting time headmistress of the school was informed about the matter. Thethen, FIR was being lodged by the headmistress. But still now, no arrest had been made. Despite that the police told that the matters will be jurisdicted by the local leaders. But after passing couple of days, no action had yet been taken. To protest against this, Suryamaninagar Block Congress had submitted a deputation today.
