AGARTALA, April 7 (TIWN): Kailashahar Chini Bagan and surrounding villages are suffering from acute drinking water scarcity.

The locals informed the matter the concerned department but no initiative from the local leaders took in reality.

The local villagers blocked Dharmanagar-Kailasahar main road with buckets and pitchers demanding pure drinking water.

The road blockade caused heavy traffic jams. The locals complained that even though the department provided water by car, it was not enough for them.

However, now it has remained to be seen whether the villagers will get sufficient drinking water or not.
