AGARTALA, March 30 (TIWN): Tripura is one of the Indian states which is fast losing ethics and cultural values costing young generations focus from their career in a fast manner and with that all functions, cultural festivals have lost glories as the young generation is more focussed on liquor parties instead of celebrating festivals.

Apart from festivals, liquor sales have beefed up heavily in Tripura throughout the year and the reasons are many behind it, causing various physical illnesses too.

In this condition, the income of Govt however has increased as a report claimed that over 25 crores were earned in liquor in the ongoing financial year. However it is the income from 2021 to 2022 February, but in 2020 the tax was more. It is happening with increasing liquor licenses and addiction in the society. At the same time, illegal liquor sales are often raided by Police across Tripura which is also helping to boost the legal sales, directly profiting the Govt revenue sector.

When the BJP Govt claims to make a ‘Nesha Mukt Tripura’, does not liquor count under any ‘Nesha’ (Addiction) ?
