AGARTALA, March 28 (TIWN): State Govt’s much hypeD ‘Drug Free Tripura’ remains nowhere in reality, ground reality says the addiction towards drug among youths has increased in comparison to previous era. The abandoned two-Storey hostel building of Ramnarayan Thakurpara High School in Ramnagar ADC Village Committee area under Charilam RD block has become the Central Point for ‘Drug addiction center’.
Drug addicted people from various areas have made this hostel as ‘Drug Addiction Center’ and youths from various areas are taking drugs through various agents in this abandoned hostel for which resentment is brewing among parents.
Several liquor brand’s bottles including syringes have found in the abandoned room and on being asked about it to the school teachers clearly stated that they don’t have any idea what has happened after School hours.
The matter was reported to the Police but nothing was done. The local people demanded the Police and administration should take initiative immediately otherwise the entire youmh generation will be destroyed.
