AGARTALA, March 26 (TIWN): Tripura High Court senior Advocate Purushottom Roy Barman has asked the media to restrain from personal attacks on him and Human Rights Organization just because of an allegation was raised by someone. “A boy who lives in my home and adult, if has committed any offense must be punished and I am very happy that police are very active in the case’s investigation where a poor woman has lodged a complaint about child molestation by the boy who is residing in my home. But if someone has committed offense, why Human Rights organizations will be criticized. By doing this, nobody can suppress the Human Rights organization”. “The boy if has committed the crime, it does not have any link with me. Moreover, raising an allegation does not mean that it is a fact. The accused Sanju is absconding, but Supreme Court does not say, absconding is a crime. People may be absconded in fear of being arrested in the false case”, said Barman.
“Court will decide who is guilty and who is not. Tripura police nowadays, do not take FIR even in rape and murder cases. I am very happy, that police are active in this case but the section of media who is propagating against Human Rights Organization centering this case, it is unacceptable”, said Purushottom Roy Barman.
