AGARTALA, March 20 (TIWN): Congress leader Gopal Roy in a press meet while reacting over the 2022-23 Budget Session said that this Budget is an ‘Anti-people budget’ and its ‘Mirage in Desert’. As per Roy’s statement this Budget was published keeping the coming Assembly Poll in Mind to lure the state's people.

During the press meet he also stated that no employment has been created for the unemployed youths in this 2022-23 Budget session, this ruling Govt could offer nothing except frustration to the unemployed youths.

The Govt employees have also been deprived of this budget and this Govt has left the state’s people in debt and the debt burden on State will stand to 13,461.80 crores, he added.

Roy slammed BJP raising 10,323 teachers' ‘Permanent Solution’ promise and stated that this Govt only cheated with state’s people and the ruling BJP Govt made 10,323 Permanent Solution at ‘Battala Crematorium’. Slamming this Govt Roy also stated that this Govt had promised to 10,323 teachers that after coming into Power their matter will be resolved, but in last 4 years total 129 teachers died and among them 5 committed suicide which is very unfortunate, this Govt settled 10,323 teachers matter to ’Crematorium’.

Besides, he alleged that REGA Rs 340 wages promise was not mentioned in 2022-23 Budget sessions.

Roy blamed State’s Education System, and said that this Govt told that 3 B.ed Colleges will be created within a year but building B.ed College is far away matter till today not a single brick has been put somewhere to build B.ed College. Besides he raised the issue that the entire Govt Colleges in Tripura became dry without teachers.

Roy entitled this 20-23 Budget as ‘Anti-People’ Budget.
