AGARTALA, January 4 (TIWN): Tripura Governor PB Acharya visited Khowai and attended various programmes today. As part of visit, Mr. Acharya participated in a Swachchha Bharat Abhiyan conducted by Khowai district administration. Recently, PB Acharya was elected as a member of Swachchha Bharat Abhiyan campaign in national level.During his visit, Acharya conducted a vital meeting in administrative level to review the different developmental works under central government’s schemes. He has also joined in an interactive session with veteran people, orphanage, Non Government Organizations (NGOs) and parents of the students who went outside of the state for higher education,in search of employment.

In his visit to Divyodaya Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) at Chebri, Governor PB Acharya interacted with the local farmers and also inquired about their problems today. He addressed an awareness programme on weather in front of the KVK. Around 300 local cultivators attended the awareness programme. Besides, he inaugurated an Agri Clinical Project under KVK at Chebri.

Later, he moved to Khowai Circuit House and conducted a vital meeting with the officials from various departments including District Magistrate. In the meeting, he directed all the concerned officials to implement the ongoing development schemes on time. During the meeting, Pensioners’ Association presented a souvenir to the Governor PB Acharya.

After that, he moved to government Dak Bunglaow at Khowai and addressed a press conference. After addressing the press meet, the Governor left Khowai for Melaghar.
