10323 Teachers alleged, Tripura Govt is treating them like ‘Terrorists’

AGARTALA, March 15 (TIWN): The terminated 10,323 teachers who went to meet Tripura CM, Biplab Deb had undergone Lathi charge and arrests. Later few teachers at Circuit House area were in sit-in-demonstration whole night but before the sunrise they were detained. Centering this, a terminated teacher said that almost 6 times they had given Letter to CM seeking ‘Meeting permission’ but CM did not respond to that letter.

“We wanted that 8 of our delegation members will meet with CM, but meeting far away matters, Police administration used 4-5  barricades from Astabal stadium and at the end lathi charge was done on us. Around 13-15 teachers were injured and some are still on hospital beds”, said the teacher.

The teacher also said that until their matter is resolved they will continue their protest and also said that early morning as per teachers ratio 3rd times more extra Police, TSR were deployed at circuit house area and detained from there.

The teacher added that after detention, Police is behaving with teachers in a strange manner that they cannot even move and go to the bathroom properly as for 1 teacher 4-5 Police is guarding them, and Police's such behaviour has almost labeled the teachers as if they are ‘Terrorists’.
