Agartala, Jan 4 (TIWN / IANS): The principal of a government degree college in Tripura has been arrested for molesting a girl student, police said here Sunday.

"Police arrested Teliamura Government Degree College principal Pradip Kumar Dey, for molesting a standard 12 girl student at his rented house at Teliamura (in western Tripura) Saturday," a police official said.

The 56-year-old man, who was a tenant at the girl's home, was arrested following a complaint from the girl's father.

"When the girl's parents were not at home, the college principal called the girl to his room and showed her some nude photographs on his laptop and molested her," a police officer said, quoting from the complaint.
