AGARTALA, March 14 (TIWN): The terminated teachers who visited ‘Secretariat’ to meet Tripura CM, could not meet finally. Oppositely the teachers were arrested after ‘Lathi Charge’ by unleashing huge Police. After the arrest the terminated teacher said that this Protest is just beginning, we will continue it till our matter is resolved.
After the arrest a terminated teacher, Ajay Debbarma said, “We had sent a memorandum on March-4 to CM seeking an appointment to discuss our demands with 8 of our delegation members, and we are requesting if state CM meet with our delegation members then we will withdraw our protest”
“Our demand is to get back our jobs and the 129 teachers who died among 10,323 teachers, each of their families should be given jobs under die-in-harness. Raising these 2 issues we wanted to meet the CM, but could not”, said Ajay Debbarma
The JMC teacher Ajay Debbarma clearly stated that they will sit for Protest until CM is not meeting them and it’s their final decision.
