AGARTALA, March 7 (TIWN): A house in Kunjaban Colony near Abhaynagar Veterinary Hospital in Agartala was completely burnt down by a candle fire last night.

After receiving the information of the incident, 3 fire engines rushed to the spot from Agartala station.

Residents of the area complained that before the fire service reached the spot, the people of the area put out the fire and brought it under control.

Firefighters said the area's roads were difficult to access with small pipes, and there was no roads in the densely populated area.

The owner of the house is Shankar Debnath. Shankar Debnath's son reportedly comes home drunk every day. Intoxicated, he lit a candle and placed it under the bed, which suddenly caught fire.
