AGARTALA, March 5 (TIWN): Miscreants set fire to the house of a man named Dulal Mia late on Friday night. The incident took place at Dasharath Bari under Sonamura PS in Ormai Dakshinpara area of ADC village.

Reportedly, Dulal Mia is a day labourer by profession. It is known miscreants climbed on his housetop and poured petrol and set fire. His under constructed building’s ceiling completely burnt into ashes,

However, the incident was first witnessed by a person named Billal Mia of the house next door. At his shout, the people of the area including the house owner initially tried to put out the fire, but later Sonamura Fire Service brought the fire under control. However, who did this is not known.

A case has been filed at Sonamura police station in this regard.
