AGARTALA, March 3 (TIWN): Prior to the 2018 Assembly Poll, BJP in Vision Document ensured to provide clean drinking water to every household in Tripura but the reality shows the horrible situation in remote areas. Shortage of drinking water paralysed remote areas’ livelihood. Reportedly locals of National Highway 206 at Kamalpur East Lambuchhara blocked road on Thursday demanding drinking water.

In the blockade angst local claimed that at leaders’ house water overflows but they don’t get drinking water. Several times the villagers asked the concerned Department to solve the water issue but nothing happened.

However DWS officials after getting information of the road blockade rushed to the spot but the villagers refused to withdraw the blockade. The locals clearly stated they will not remove the blockade until their matter is solved.
