AGARTALA, March 2 (TIWN): Tripura BJP Govt which before the 2018 Assembly Poll had promised to all unemployed youths of the state that within 1 year of Govt formation 50,000 jobs will be provided, but had failed to provide even 5,000 permanent jobs in 4 years and the jobs which were provided were not new posts but a part of ongoing recruit of the previous Govt which were cancelled by the existing Govt in 2018 promising a “transparent recruitment” process. However, transparency was never maintained and Ratan Lal Nath’s much hyped videography of viva interviews are forgotten with time. In case teachers,Govt’s expenditure had downed with the 10323 teachers termination and hardly three thousand teachers recruited in last 4 years.

Moreover, the all ongoing recruitments were canceled, few of them although was restored with High Court’s order.

On February 21, the 2016-17’s TSR job candidates who were passed in the exam but could not be recruited in CPI-M Govt’s time due to Election, staged a protest in Agartala City Centre and after winning the Election in 2018, BJP Govt canceled the recruitments.

A huge number of unemployed youths were targeted due to BJP Govt-led ‘cancellation of ongoing recruitment’ in 2018 and those posts could not be filled up yet in 2022.

In the Education sector, right now, after 10323 teachers' termination, huge posts are vacant but the backlogs could not be fulfilled although huge numbers of TET qualifiers are jobless.

Yesterday, TSR interview appeared victim candidates of 2021 batch unemployed youths had met Sudip Roy Barman. As a Congress leader, Sudip Roy Barman assured the unemployed youths that he will provide full legal support. Reacting to media the unemployed TSR job aspirants said, they are ready to go to Supreme Court also with this case. A massive protest was staged at Agartala City Centre alleging massive corruption was held in the recruitment.

Tripura ranks 3rd in unemployment nationally.
