AGARTALA, Feb 24 (TIWN): While addressing the mass-gathering at Astabal stadium, Tripura former Chief Minister, Opposition leader Manik Sarkar has called people to go for self-defense at an extreme level to restore democracy and voting rights in the state. “Your vote only you have to cast and let’s restore that fundamental right. Use self-defense, resistance but unitedly. No law and order is existing in this state anymore. A total Jungle Raj is going on. Not only party workers but from Doctors to Engineers are attacked under this Jungle Raj. At least 40 journalists faced severe physical attacks. The Muslim community people are targets of the political dirty game under this BJP Govt. What to do if the CM orders to conduct injustice? Hospitals are not admitting victims after attack incidents, because of heavy pressure from the political hierarchy”, said Manik Sarkar at the Astabal gathering.
Sarkar further has alleged that the BJP led State Govt is running a ‘corrupt governance’ in Tripura.
“From Health Dept to PWD, Electric Dept, Forest all are gripped in corruption. TUEP, MGNREGA works are almost stopped, unfair distributions are going on. People have to raise their voice against it”, said Sarkar.
“We can not be suffering from any satisfaction for this successful rally. We have to go long ahead. Now, the people of Tripura should create barricades of resistance”, added Sarkar saying further that there will be no outcome by going to Police or the DGP because the "DGP has no spine”.
