AMBASSA, Feb 23 (TIWN): Four TSR jawans were injured in a head-on collision between two vehicles on Wednesday.

The incident took place on the national highway in Kathalbari area under Ambassa sub-division.

Tripura State Congress President Birajit Sinha was on his way to Kailashahar in an escort. A Bolero (TR 01 AB 0266) coming from the other direction collided head on with a GPC escort (TR 01 E 0933). Four TSR Jawans were seriously injured.

The fire brigade personnel rushed to the spot and rescued the injured and brought them to Dhalai District Hospital in Kulai. At present the injured are being treated at Dhalai District Hospital. Injured persons are :Nikhil Chandra Das (41), Braja Kishore Datta (57). Shyamal Baidya (42), Bikash Kumar (40).
