AGARTALA, Feb 20 (TIWN): The Sarba Sikkha Teachers who are deprived due to BJP govt’s cheating today organised Press meet in Rabidra Satabarshiki Bhawan and exposed the BJP Govt being fraudulent with them. A deprived Sarva Sikha Teacher said, “On 13th Feb 2021, High Court’s Division Bench gave verdict to regularise the SSA teachers and to start Pension system but yet not the teachers benefitted with it”.

BJP before 2018 poll promised all contractual employees to be regularized.

In CPI-M era when the SSA teachers were in Protest for the right, Present Education Minister, Ratan Lal Nath and CM, Biplab Deb (then secretary of BJP) promised them that after they coming into Power they will fulfill SSA teachers' demands, which was not kept. Later the SSA teachers appealed to HC but even after a positive verdict from HC.

The teachers asked the State Govt to immediately take initiative to start Pension System and to regularise them.

The teachers said that they will start a massive protest if HC’s verdict is not fulfilled immediately.

Over 5000 teachers are there as SSA employees.
