AGARTALA, Feb 19 (TIWN): Though GB hospital is claiming developing health infrastructure and new successful operations completions the existing services are suffering in the breathless situation due to crisis of equipment, management, and lack of free services.

After 1 week of the patient parties complaint about Dialysis center’s miserable condition, the situation yet has not developed.

On February 3rd, alleging the miserable condition of the dialysis center, patient parties protested and talked to the media demanding immediate solutions to their problems. The Kidney Patients are suffering due to the Dialysis center's miserable condition in GB hospital led the regular patient parties to place a deputation before the Medical Super of GB hospital. Talking to a patient party she said, “Our patients are suffering in suffocation. They are dying without treatment due to the scarcity of dialysis machines. Kidney patients need regular dialysis but it has become tough for the patients to hold patience in the row”.

“We demand an immediate solution to the problems. Right now, only 5 machines are in the GB hospital”, said a woman.

“Earlier, there were 12 machines. We want those machines should be restored soon. Many patients died without dialysis. They need 3 dialyses per week but only 1 dialysis is hardly received. GB is the main hospital where patients from all over the state come. We request CM Biplab Deb to look after the matter”, said another patient party.

So far no progress was reported on the matter.
