AGARTALA, Feb 17 (TIWN): Amarpur Sub Divisional Hospital became the Drug hub under the leadership of BMS leader cum Ambulance driver identified as Pintu Ranjan Das.
According to the details of the incident, Pintu Ranjan Das, the ambulance-102 driver of the Amarpur Sub-divisional hospital has been running a drug business in an empty room of the hospital for several months. Every night, Pintu and his associates transported various drugs items from the empty room of the hospital to various places of the sub-division by ambulance.
As per report the on duty doctors, nurses and security guards obstructed Pintu several times but he reluctant to listen to anyone as he is the leader of the ruling party BMS and whoever obstructed Pintu, he always threatens others to transfer.
Later the drug dealer, Pintu, was sitting in the empty room of the hospital with his associates late on Wednesday night and the Security guard informed the police by locking the outside of the room.
After getting information the police rushed and arrested the three persons, they were immediately given medical treatment and they were detected addicted.
It is alleged that Pintu Ranjan Das is running the drug trade in the entire subdivision from this hospital.
Now it has remained to be seen what action Police will take against the BMS leader or else will he be freed from Police’s custody showing the tag of BMS leader.
