Tripura BJP Crisis: Two Heavyweight BJP MLAs resigned from Party and Posts, left for Delhi

AGARTALA, Feb 7 (TIWN): Ahead of 2023 Election, Tripura BJP is reeling in a massive crisis under the leadership of Biplab Deb. Accusing BJP led State Govt is a “One Man System” today two MLAs Sudip Barman and Asish Saha have resigned from the party and also submitted resignation letters to Speaker Ratan Chakraborty. After receiving the resignation, Speaker said, he is quite unhappy and received the letters with a “heavy heart”. So far 3 BJP MLAs resigned as one more MLA Asish Das earlier had resigned. Right now, BJP has 33 MLAs.

Talking to the media, MLA Sudip Roy Barman said, the Democracy has been murdered in Tripura and media, common men have no freedom. Only one-man system is functioning the entire administration and the Ministers, MLAs have no freedom. Barman also said, to revive the Democracy, they have taken the decision.

Both the MLAs have left for Delhi and are most likely to join the Congress party.
