AGARTALA, Feb 2 (TIWN): Netizens trolled BJP MLA Mimi Majumder and other leaders for spreading ‘fake news’ of IPFT Minister Narendra Chandra Debbarma today, after which the Minister’s daughter refuted the fake news, confirming that her father’s health is better and likely to be discharged from hospital. Today tension triggered in the state after BJP MLA Mimi Majumder announced that Minister N.C.Debbarma is no more and she said that she is deeply shocked with the unexpected news of the Minister’s death. Immediately the post turned viral and many BJP kariyakartas shared the same news on social media. BJP’s many leaders did the same but when investigated, it was known that the information was completely fake, and N.C.Debbarma is stable.

“I don’t know who spread the news but this is totally fake news. My father’s health is much better and he will be released by tomorrow”, N.C.Debbarma’s daughter said.

Netizens mocked the State Govt and Police who always target social media users over fake news, but are now silent after such irresponsible work was done by the BJP MLA and leaders. The public slammed MLA Mimi  Majumder for this irresponsible work and for posting news without verifying.
