AGARTALA, Jan 2 (TIWN): A blood donation camp organized by SFI and DYFI in Agartala today. Former CM Manik Sarkar who joined the programme had appreciated the blood donors who came forward to donate blood. Sarkar urged people not only to donate blood but also to come forward to donate bodies after death.

“Earlier initiative was taken to donate bodies after death, but the present Govt could not continue it”, stated Sarkar.

Manik Sarkar further said that the entire state is reeling under a shortage of Blood due to the negligence of the ruling Govt, and to overcome the Shortages of blood People have to play an active role.
