AGARTALA, Feb 1 (TIWN): BJP MLA Sudip Roy Barman has visited fire accident affected areas of Barjala on Monday. The MLA talked to the locals and sought proper compensation. Talking to the media, Barman said, “Around 15 shops have been gutted into ashes. The families are ruined. Losses are huge. I appeal to the Govt to extend the helping hands to the people so that the families get a way to start their livelihoods again. I think the Govt will help them and also I want to encourage the shop-keepers to take the challenge and to start their new journey with lots of courage”. The fire incident's exact cause could not be traced yet. Since the incident took place local MLA Dilip Das, leader of the opposition Manik Sarkar and other opposition, ruling party members, AMC officials visited the affected area.
