AGARTALA, Jan 30 (TIWN): BJP Govt has badly failed to keep its pre-election promise given to the terminated 10323 teachers as on yesterday one more teacher Prashant Deb (47) died at Taidu. It is known the demised teacher Prashanta Deb was a graduate teacher and was the sole bread earner of his family. He left his wife, a daughter studying in Standard-11, a son studying in Standard-7, and an old mother behind. In the last 3 days, 2 terminated teachers died. On January 27, on ‘Black Day’, one more terminated teacher among 10323 teachers had passed away taking the death toll to 124. The demised teacher has been identified as Anil Das, a resident of Kamalghat, Mohanpur.

The terminated teachers demanded a permanent solution to their problem which was promised by the incumbent Govt to do. The 10323 teachers lost their jobs after Courts had cited irregularities in the recruitment process.

BJP before the 2018 Assembly Election verbally and in written forms promised to give a permanent solution to the teachers’ problems but after four years of the BJP Govt in Tripura, nothing could be done and so far the death toll among the 10323 teachers raised to 123.
