According to the details of the incident, the principal of Rabindranath Tagore College, located under Bishalgarh Subdivision got transferred to another College recently. Centering this incident, the College students blocked Agartala-Sabrum national highway in protest of principal prof. Chitra Pal's transfer. Students sit in a blockade on the national highway in the area adjacent to Rabindranath Tagore College on Saturday. The students sat on the road blockade for a long hour. Their demand is the principal of Rabindranath Tagore College Prof. Chitra Pal cannot be transferred from college. For many years she has been doing various developmental works of the college starting from giving college lessons to many other social works.

 

Later, Bishalgarh sub-divisional magistrate Jayanta Bhattacharya and Bishalgarh police rushed to the spot and cleared the road after talking to the students.
